During a defensive struggle this weekend, the Broncos clinched a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the late go-ahead field goal to seal the hard-fought win.

Defensive Performance Wins Game

Even with recording nine sacks against Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 following giving up a two-point play in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets managed just 82 total net yards throughout the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lutz's short kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous offensive display, the Jets maintained the ball with a opportunity to drive for a possible victory. But Fields was sacked on fourth down from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it instead of calling on specialist Nick Folk for a long kick.

The Jets quarterback struggled throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets finished with negative ten passing yards, the fewest in any game since 1998.

"Our passing game was completely absent," Glenn commented after the contest.
