The UK airline will offer free quick in-flight internet through satellite agreement
Passengers flying with this carrier will soon access high-speed internet in the air without charge due to a recent agreement with the billionaire's communications firm.
Complimentary and Fast Connectivity Available to Everyone
The carrier revealed that this complimentary, “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity provision through SpaceX becomes available for travelers flying coach, business, and first class from the coming month.
Widespread Implementation Throughout Several Airlines
The umbrella organization of the airline, the airline group, stated it had secured an deal with the satellite firm to offer wifi services across over 500 aircraft operated by the group's operators, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Smooth Connectivity starting at Boarding through Landing
British Airways noted that this rollout of this technology was included in a multi-billion pound “upgrade” plan that will provide lag-free internet access for flyers from boarding to arrival, including when in flight over seas and far-off locations.
Customers can connect numerous devices and they will not need a special password.
“Gamechanging for the airline and our customers, enhancing onboard service in the air on BA through providing passengers continuous internet from start to finish.”
Current Wifi Offerings
Basic wifi access is presently provided for British Airways travelers across nearly all of the airline's aircraft using the .air system.
Members in the airline's loyalty club are able to transmit texts and plain-text emails onboard free of charge, whereas travelers looking to watch music, video, and films on their flight who are not travelling in premium cabins can expect to be charged from £4.99 to £21.99 per wifi plan.

The provider uses a constellation comprising thousands with spacecraft and is operated by SpaceX’s aerospace firm.

Their leadership are striving to revitalize the airline back after a long time of financial constraints, system failures, industrial action, and staff cuts.
The airline stated that implementation of AI has assisted the airline to achieve their on-time performance at record highs since over a decade ago.
Financial Results
Recently, the carrier disclosed a jump in financial performance during the first half of the year, helping to push IAG’s results upward.
IAG is due to report its earnings for the three months recently shortly.

The airline's news comes shortly after telecom provider another UK company revealed it was teaming up with Starlink to boost mobile network service in the countryside in Britain, enabling consumers to easily connect mobile devices using space-based systems when no regular mobile signal is available.
